Peter Cowger, PE Civil Engineer

Pete was born in Billings, Montana and was raised in Spokane. He attended Washington State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Pete specializes in engineering and field inspection, design, and construction management. He has over eight years’ experience in water and wastewater system planning, design and construction.

Pete is a dedicated individual who never, ever misses a day at the gym. This dedication transcends into his career and combined with his work ethic, has made Pete an incredible asset to the Varela team over the last eight years.

He is a very conscientious person who goes above and beyond in order to do the best possible work for our clients.

interests

Pete enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, and their Boston Terrier, Lola. He is a regular at the gym (as previously stated, he never misses a day) and likes to spend time at the lake boating and wake-boarding.

Pete also likes to golf and is an avid WSU Cougar and Seahawk fan.

A treasure hunter at heart, Pete has been “thrifting” and garage-saling since he could ride a bike. One of his most unique finds is a barometer from an old ship. 

Pete is musically talented and has played the drums in several rock bands. Currently, he primarily lends his drum skills at church on Sundays.
