Daniel Cowger, PE Principal Engineer
“If you want your children to turn out well, spend twice as much time with them, and half as much money.”
–Abigail Van Buren
Daniel was born in Billings, Montana and grew up in Spokane. He attended Washington State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Daniel is a partner in the firm and has over 18 years’ experience in wastewater, water, street and drainage project planning, design and construction management.
He brings a calm, thoughtful approach to projects and is a very good communicator. He’s patient and deliberate, and he tends to consider the entire picture before making a decision — this makes for well thought out and effective project strategies.
These skills may have something to do with the fact that Daniel is the father of a large family and being patient and calm is necessary in successfully raising seven children!
When Daniel isn’t spending free time being a dad to his five boys and two girls, he enjoys playing guitar, volunteering at his church, and spending time with his extended family.
Daniel is very musical. His children are also musically talented and he is teaching them to play.
The importance of family seems to be a consistent theme in Daniel’s life — he also works with his two brothers and his father at Varela.
